Prof. Karl Bardosh Producer/Director/ Writer Tisch School of Arts, USA, a master Professor at Tisch School Of Arts, New York University addressed the students of Asian Business School and shared his experience of various managerial aspects of film making. Production, Scheduling, Budgting, preparation of finance proposals was shared in detail. The students also learned how to use applications to manage their entire schedule in the current scenario.

 

 

 

 

 


Sandeep Marwah Titled With ‘International Media Guru’

World Religious parliament has conferred title of recognition ‘Antarrashtriya Media Guru’ ( International media Guru) upon Sandeep Marwah, President Marwah Studios for his illustrious services in the field of films and television for more than two decades in particular and the world at large.

The citation read out on the occasion says this parliament feels proud in felicitating people dedicated and committed to the service of humanity through ancient Indian cultural values and the cleanliness of internal and as well as external environment.

Chairman of the Presentation Committee Yudhvir K. Bhoon said that the contribution of President Marwah is unique and salient. World Religion parliament chairman Acharya Prabhakar Mishra elaborated the concept of his organisation as one based on the establishment of a healthy society and physical, intellectual and spiritual growth.

 

All Rounder Achiever’s Award For Sandeep Marwah

All Rounder Achievers Award India 2011 was bestowed upon Sandeep Marwah today at a grand function at Sri Ram Auditorium in Delhi to highlight his achievements in the field of Media. Prominent personalities from different fields were present there to add on glamour to the award function.

Marwah has created five international records. He has been the founder and spokes person of Noida Film City which has become the fastest growing film city of the World. It has 16 studios and 350 channels are being telecast to 160 countries of the world 24×7.
Along with it he established first Private professional film and TV studios of North India and has churned out more than 4000 TV programs for 50 channels and been associated with around 125 feature films for more than 100 film companies.

He has been the director for 20 years of the first private film school of the country where more than 10000 students have been educated and trained in 40 different media courses hailing from 84 countries of the World in a World Class infrastructure with Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media, Events and Fine Arts departments.

Marwah has produced 1800, largest number of short films giving opportunity to 9000 media persons from 80 countries of the World. He has also produced more than 4500 training films in different program formats.

Sandeep Marwah is the only film maker to be honored for his contribution to the nation where 1000 hrs of filming, 10000 pictures, 102 ENGs, 102 radio programs were produced covering 28 states, 7 union territories of India with 300 events and 900 locations moving 20000 km with Queens Baton Relay during Commonwealth Games Delhi in 102 days, free of cost.

Sandeep Marwah started 30 media National and International organizations including International Film And Television Club started 5 festivals in the country, out of which AAFT Festival Of Short Digital Films now touching 73rd Edition only festival of its kind in the World.

Marwah was compared to Sachin Tendulkar of Cricket, Salman Khan of Films, and revolutionary like Ganga Lokmanya Tilak from the Indian History.

 

Workshop on New Media

In the series of visitors in Asian Business School the CEO of Iridium Interactive Mr. Manish Kanujia has agreed for the practical teaching of New Media. He will be conducting the 10 hours workshop to give the complete understanding of the subjects.

 

 

 

Visit of AVT Shankardass to Asian Business School

Mr. AVT Shankardass , is a Motion Picture and Financer of Mission Impossible- IV. He began in the theater as a Director in London and Edinburg. After a brief transition into film directing with PRAYING FOR PLAY, THE COMPUTERS and THE STEPMOTHER. He moved to film production. He was also a screen writer with Tomhawk Entertainment and Warner Bros for 5 years.

He took over as CEO and Managing Director for Victory in 1998. Victory operated as Film Finance Corporation handling both tax efficient (soft monies) and equity funding, matched with debt structure in countries all across the world. Finance was
provided to a number of studio as well and independent feature including, K-19 the WIDOWMAKER (Harrison Ford), SPY GAME (Brad Pitt), FEMME FATALE (Antonio Banderas), ALEXANDER (Colin Farrell), FLY BOYS (James Franco),
&CHAIN (Kal Penn). In 2000 he took over all Operations at Victory by way of a hospital take over and subsequently Victory conducted a private stock floatation in 2005, which resulted in a 400% increase in
stock value.

He had visited Asian Business School and conducted a Workshop on Financing on International Forum. He spoke about bout Hollywood & Bollywood Financing. Students benefited immensely out of the knowledge and experience of Mr. Shankardass.

 

Fresher’s Party

Exuberance of energy and high spirits marked the fresher’s party at ABS on 14th November 2011. The final semester students welcomed the young, energetic juniors with open arms. The students had also prepared few cultural programs. The event also saw the presence of alumni who still feel connected with the ABS. Mr. Sandeep Marwah-Director Asian Business School, congratulated the senior students for organizing the event. He also encouraged the students to deliver more in less resource to counter attack recession. He stressed on the famous Darwin’s Theory of survival of the fittest. Ms. Leeja Shrestha was crowned as Ms. Fresher and Mr. Kunal Dhobal as Mr. Fresher.

 

 

 

 

 

Convocation Ceremony-Jan-2009-2011

Asian Business School organized its 9th convocation ceremony on 5th November2011 at Marwah Studios-II Campus. The morning was marked with excited facesof the students who come to celebrate the occasion. The guests of honor for the morning were Lt. Gen. K. M. Seth, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), Former Governor ofChhattisgarh, Mr. Pankaj Saxena, Head of Programming, BBC Worldwide, Mr.Y.P Singh-Head & Dean , Faculty of Commerce & Business, Delhi University and Dr. R. Suri-Director-PR Edu Media Pvt. Ltd & Ex-Director General –VC ForMonad University, Ghaziabad & Advisor for APG Shimla University, Himachal.The function began with the welcome speech of Mr. Sandeep Marwah, Director ABS. He addressed students, who were venturing into the professional field and conferred diplomas to the graduating students. He advised students to possess the managerial skills and conduct themselves professionally and ethically. He assured students that he would be there for them at the time of crisis. His speech was extremely motivating and inspiring. His Excellency Lt. Gen. K. M. Seth praised ABS students for being disciplined and compared them with the focused soldiers . He appreciated the efforts of the placement team which declared 100% placement record. Mr. Pankaj Saxena through a small story to explain to live the life to fullest. Y.P.Singh blessesd the students and gave them the valuable tips to face the challenges of life. Dr. Suri stressed on ethics and moral duties of an Indian citizen and requested students to work ethically in their domains. Mrs. Latika Sahni , Dean, ABS, gave the success indicators to the students as they were passing through the transition period of their life. She urged the graduating students to work sincerely to realize their dreams and encourage them to struggle for success even in times of crisis and rejection. Annual report was also presented. This was followed by awarding the diplomas by the guests and the ABS-Excellence Awards. The ceremony ended in Europhia with the students tossing their convocation hats.

 

Changing Dynamics of Television Industry from a managerial perspective – Mr Pankaj Parashar

“It is important to enjoy what you are doing to achieve success in your careers”, said Mr Pankaj Parashar, writer, producer, director of many acclaimed films like Chaalbaaj, Jalwa, Banaras while addressing the students of Asian Business School, Noida. Mr Pankaj Parashar shared his personal struggles before he could get a break in the industry and coaxed the students to keep trying honestly. Mr Sandeep Marwah, Director, Asian Business School encouraged the students to be hardworking, honest, truthful for the job at hand as these are the mantras for success.The students were given the opportunity for an open house discussion with Mr Pankaj Parashar. Answering to one of the questions Mr Parashar shared how television industry
has become bigger than Film industry and helped the students understand the financial aspects of film industry.

 

 

 

 

 

Asian Business School Will Manage 4th Global Film Festival Noida 2011

The Asian Business School associated with Oxford Business College at Noida conducting MBA, BBA and PGDM courses along with Media Management have joined hands with International Film And Television Club to participate and to manage the affairs of 4th Global Film Festival Noida 2011 informed Latika Sahani Dean ABS. 

“We will be more than happy to associate the students of Asian Business School along with GFFN. Not only that they can relate themselves to an international event but also will get an opportunity to work as organizers for the same” said Sandeep Marwah President of 4th GFFN2011. 

There will be one event every 2hours to be managed by management students for these three days 25th, 26th and 27th of November including  workshops, seminars, exhibitions, book release, daily bulletin, luncheon meetings, entertainment programs, Gala dinners, film market, new film releases, press conferences, launches of three short films, new radio programs,  

The film segments will include AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films, ASMS Festival of Short Films, WE CARE Festival of Films on Disability, Retrospective of the Director, Foreign Cinema, Indian Section, Focus Country, Film Awards, Children’s Film Section and competition section.

 

 

Think Positive to move forward in life-Maddy Malhotra

“When you think negative it reacts negative on you and when you think positive you start moving forward in life” said Maddy Malhotra a motivator from United Kingdom talking to the students of (ABS) Asian Business School at Noida.

“Maddy Malhotra started his carrier from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and moved to United Kingdom for better prospects. Maddy failed in many occasion to reach to a situation where he found the job and payment equal to IITians after his education in Information Technology’ said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios while introducing him to the audience.

“Get inspiration from successful people, have vision and work hard continuously to achieve your targets” Maddy added. “Nothing comes easy, efforts in right direction on regular basis can only make you achiever” Maddy explained.

Maddy Malhotra accepted Sandeep Marwah as his ‘Guru’ for many better reasons including a sense of professionalism, humanity and honesty which he said now it is difficult to find in people. Later Prof Latika Sahani paid vote of Thanks.

 

Film Making Is A Business Management Exercise-Dharmesh Darshan

“Film Making is not only an art but it is a business and management exercise” said Dharmesh Darshan Director of super hit films like Raja Hindustani, Dharkan, Lootare, Bewaffa etc while addressing the management students of Asian Business School in Noida. He explained them the process of film making.“First you have to be manager of your own, then only you can
sustain as the member of the team in film making. You have to be punctual, regular, sincere and dedicated whether you are an actor, director or any technician in films” added Sandeep Marwah while introducing the great cinema maker who has given 4th biggest hit of Indian Cinema.
Answering the questions of the students Dharmesh Darshan discussedthe cost and the distribution of feature film. He also relate the economic theories of demand and supply and their application  in Cinema. Later Dean ABS Prof. Latika Sahanipaid vote of thanks.

Seminar on “Demystifying the Myths of Personal Finance”

Seminar on “Demystifying the Myths of Personal Finance” was held in Asian Business School on 5th August 2011. The program was on the basic principles of Personal Finance. It gave a wider perspective into the intricacies of Personal Finance and helped removing the myths attached to it. A genuine effort was made by the staff and the students to bring out the most
distilled financial wisdom packaged in most attractive and enriching format.

Prof. Sandeep Marwah, Director, Asian Business School shared his personal finance tips with the students. Mr. Sanjiv Tandan- CEO-Global Adviser Ltd. highlighted various aspects of investments and options available in different asset classes to suit different age bracket and strata. Mr. Kunal Saraogi-CEO-Equity Rush spoke about the advent of variety of financial
products and how to predict business cycle with clinical accuracy. An avid speaker in different business channels and a technical analyst of repute encouraged students to follow the biography of legendry investor “Warran Buffet” and invest judiciously. Mr. Manish Mayank-Area Manager, UNICON Securities focused on Life Insurance needs and advantages. He talked about the latest policy trends and how ULIP as a product can be a great investment tool. Mr. Bharat Venishetti, Senior Manager, Corporate Investments Products Kotak Mahindra Bank advised students to adopt a systematic approach while making Investment choices.

Launch of Radio Nawab @ ABS

On the 27th of July’2011, students at Asian Business School (ABS) took a step towards a bigger Dream, where they came out of the closed doors and created history in shaping up a New Radio Station through a case study Module.
It has shaped up another reach out module in education, which can really transform dreams for future entrepreneurs and create champions within them. .

Corporate Tie-up with T-series

For the consecutive second year Asian Business School students appeared for interview for the profile- “Assistant Manager-International Marketing” at T-series in their Film City, Noida office. Around 5 students have been selected till date and it’s still going on. The process will take a week time to complete.
